Should I participate in a college fest or do an internship?

I am very confused. Which one will help me in the future? This is the last year I can participate in any college fest. Which one will help me to get into a better MBA college or a job in the future?

  • College fest will be a matter of one or two days, where as internship should be atleast of a month so first of all plan with the available time. Both will be advantagoeus while taking MBA admission but I guess internship values more when come in time of job interviews.

  • I believe that both are very importane at their own places. We cannot compare the two of them. It depends that college fest is at which level, i.e. if the college fest is at national level, then we should try to go for that fest as we will learn many needful skills like that of communication skills, time and event management, cooperativeness, etc.
    But if the fest is at the college level only, then we should go for internship and explore ourselves.

  • You have to think about the future and be able to predict your prospects. College is an opportunity to find good friends and theoretical knowledge for a future profession, but you can get practical skills in a work environment. I recently was engaged in research papers for sale in various promising areas in education. I liked the direction of copywriting. The practical specialty does not require much theoretical knowledge. For example a school bus driver.

  • Participate in a college fest because you cannot get that time after the completion of your academics and you can attend an internship programme whenever you need and you can even get another oppurtunity.
    But the time you need to spend with your friends never returns,so go and enjoy your college fest and attend an internship later.

  • You have not explained your background and your area of internship.. College fests are good experience but In my opinion, if your college fest in not larger than life type(Tech fests of IIT BOMBAY type) than you should pursue an internship provided it is about your core professional background.
