  • Responsible for whole Engine & transmission layout and Interface with vehicle, electrical.Prepare and check complete 3D and all 2D drawings with application of GD&T, tolerance Stack study, DFM consideration and release for build and validation.
    Work with foreign design consultants for technical queries and design activity.
    Design calculations for engine parts like clutch, gears, spring etc. and design input sheets for proprietary parts bearing, oil pump, clutch, tensioner etc.
    Selection of fits, tolerance and regular maintaining all engine stack, shaft floats in excel format.Engage with CAE team for lubrication circuit analysis, performance simulation, balancing and tensioner load and timing chain optimization, NVH analysis.Analyze gear box with ROMAX designer and clearance with UG motion simulation.
    Prepare design input sheets for proprietary parts like bearings, timing chain, tensioner, clutch.Drawing release sign off and maintaining all engine database In PLM
Engineer Transmission Design

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all 2/3/4 wheeler product shift mechanism and support senior in gear box development.
    Prepare of 2D layout for transmission systems like shifting, clutch, differential mechanism, starting system. It’s Refinement with analysis, articulation layout, fixing part geometry for various Transmission components like gear, forks, drum, star wheel etc.
    Created 3D for casting and machining model along with drawing for transmission casing, shift fork, gear, shaft, differential cage, sheet metal component etc. for weight, inertia calculation.Done hardware selection, commonisation and MPL management for transmission system.
    Handled 3D assembly of transmission system for clearance study, stacks and packaging. Integration with other groups like Engine, Vehicle group regarding assembly issues.Created detail drawing for transmission case, shift fork, gear, shaft, differential cage, sheet metal etc. with application of GD&T and tolerance stack and release in PLM.
