Ahold currently has three major data warehouses; Item Data Warehouse (IDW), Supply Chain Data Warehouse (SCDW) and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). The goal of this project is to retire the IDW and its related staging environment to reduce the data warehouse footprint in the infrastructure (server) as well as eliminate the duplicate support for the IDW.
The project scope includes the sun-setting of the IDW Staging Server and Database Server, migration of the data from the IDW to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and migrating all feeds and extracts going to or coming from the IDW to the EDW or eliminating the ones which are no longer needed

ETL is used in calculation of points on basis of vouchers and coupons are generated for customers accordingly redemption of points used to happen. They already have the logic of ETL in data stage which is being migrated into Informatica mappings.
