Production and Characterization of ß-Glucosidase
Student at VIT-Vellore Institute of Technology
Dec-2014 to present
Isolation of microorganisms producing ß-Glucosidase from shell-fish wastes by the use of specific selective media; carrying out various assays and optimizing their growth and maximum activity conditions; finding out the useful applications of the extracted enzyme; investigating the conditions required for large scale production.

Effect of High Fat Diet on the Cognitive Functioning in Mice
Student at VIT-Vellore Institute of Technology
Mar-2013 to Apr-2013
Fed mice very high fat containing diet for a whole week and their cognitive abilities were observed before and after the administration of the high fat diet. The mice were tested on an eight arm Radial Arm Maze (RAM). They were trained to learn the RAM protocol and their learning performance was evaluated. The mice on high fat diet made significantly more mistakes than the control mouse, when their memory was tested.

Mini-project on Antibiotic Production in Microbiology
Student at VIT-Vellore Institute of Technology
Aug-2012 to Sep-2012
