  • Responsible for the development of BI solutions to support the BTS deptarment within an investment bank in USA. In addition to leading and coordinating the local team in Argentina. I developed a lot of solutions from scratch, from design of the system architecture to the modeling of ETL processes, as well as creation of database objects to meet the requirements and all the requested features. The projects are small and take around 4 months each. One of the most exciting and biggest projects was the creation of a solution to support the merger between two banks in order to consolidate the old bank's data in the new one and avoid the end users being affected by the migration to the new system. On the other hand, I participated in an interesting project in which the bank wanted to manage all the ATMs that they owned or rented. The solution brought remarkable benefits such as tracking the life cycle of an ATM and provided information on whether the ATM was profitable enough.

  • As a technical lead, I was in charge of leading and coordinating all the ETL developments as part of Business Intelligence practice within the CoE department. All projects were developed from scratch since the team was new including all its initiatives. Most of the projects were conceived to satisfy business decisions by delivering strategic information, such as product sales, market share, evolution index and growth, to Sales and Marketing departments so that they can make the best suitable decision as possible. In order to do so, the team built a new datawarehouse along with all the ETL processes to populate the data on it and build reports and dashboards for internal consume within the laboratory.

One of the most complex projects was the one where we had to calculate sales commissions for the sales force depending on their fulfillment of objectives and sales.

  • The Junior Developer role was to participate in a large project to provide services to all the countries of Latin America region within the IT department in MSD client. The project consisted in providing strategic business information, such as product sales, market share, evolution index, growth, sales force compensations, product prescriptions, etc. to Sales and Marketing departments so that they can make the most appropriate commercial decision. My main responsibilities were focused on enhancements and small changes in the existing ETL processes. As an Oracle DBA I was responsible for the maintenance of the 2 existing datawarehouses. The project was about to create a new DW to replace the old one. The old datawarehouse had ETL processes built in PL/SQL instead of new, strong and reliable processes made by informatica PowerCenter tool. While this migration was taking place, I was in charge of populating the data in the old database as well as, performing DBA operational tasks.
