The picture shown above is of Gomti Riverfront during winters at night. This project gave huge fame to the previous Government ,which in turn boasted a lot about it and used it as a political propaganda and added to their list of achievements . But it was not up to the standards of many others river-fronts built across the country especially as compared to that present in Surat. Although the local people flocked to this location during its early time of establishment. It was rather amusing to see how the total aesthetic value of this place rather the river Gomti which earlier used to be a little better than a smelly sewage flow transform into a place surrounded by greenries. It has become a place for the local people to hang out.
