Parametric Optimization and Analysis of Rectangular Beam type Load cell using Taguchi Method
Student at DKTESTEI-Dattajirao Kadam Technical Education Societys Textile and Engineering Institute
Jun-2014 to Mar-2015
In this work, rectangular beam type load cell was considered for parametric optimization by using FEA method. The intention of work was to create geometry of rectangular beam type load cell to find optimum solution. FEA software HyperWorks is used for Parametric optimization of load cell. If the stress and strain values are within the permissible range, then certain dimensions are modified to reduce amount of material needed. The procedure was repeated untill design changes satisfying all the criteria. Experimental verification was carried out by photoelasticity technique with the help of Polariscope and then it compared with FEA results.
