We are in the cusp of 2015, lately we have seen some great movies from some of the great directors of Bollywood. Some of the movies are unconventional, offbeat, witty, humorous, dark not so Bollywood type. What Im going to discuss is they are not the mainstream Bollywood directors who goes for Box-Office returns only. Their movies go far beyond that. To name some of the hatke directors are Anurag Kashyap, Vishal Bhardwaj, Rajkumar Hirani, Imtiaz Ali and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Looking at the list we can say Anurag Kashyap really rules the list when it comes to unconventional cinema but the others are also not far behind. Anurag kashyaps memorable movies are Black Friday, Dev D, Gangs of Wasseypur Series, No Smoking, the controversial Paanch and the just released Ugly.Next in the list is Vishal sir, whom we can say is a artist of emotion particularly with anger, rage revenge but despite of this he holds great command over comedy which we can see in movies like Makdee, The Blue Umbrella, and not to forget his memorable music also. Rajkumar Hirani is also a notable director known for his soft lovable movies which take on serious topic but in lighthearted manner like Medical issues in Munnabhai MBBS, Gandhigiri in Lage Raho Munnabhai, educational system in 3 Idiots and godmen sytem in recently released PK. Imitiaz Ali regarded as the great love story teller of youth. His movies presents dilemma, injustice, emotions of youth. Last on the list but not the least, is, Rakeysh Ompraksh Mehra, or we may called him the Rang De Basanti Mehra. He is a revolutionary when it comes to movies. His movies speaks real stories, real emotion. His finest works are the great Rang De Basanti, Aks, Delhi-6, and the Biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. They all showed that we can make serious, dark movies and yet offer some comic relief throughout. They have their own fan following. In short we can say that they are different from the other directors of Bollywood. They have their own style, own way of movie making. They are here to stay and they will continue to make more movies with different flavors.
