I have joined the company as a graduate apprentice trainee in the soda ash maintenance group (SAMG) which comes in the engineering services department of maintenance. As a trainee engineer in the industry, I am under an intense extensive on-site training in the different sub-departments of Soda-Ash Group in the maintenance area, right from the initiation of the product to the finished goods and the complex processes in maintaining the whole soda ash plant which includes the sub-departments like the:- Kiln, Milk Of Lime (MOL), Process House, Steam Tube Drier (STD), Compressor House, Denses Plant, Monohydrate Plant, Bicarb Plant, Screening And Packaging Area (Sapa) and the in-house advanced Preventive Maintenance (PM) Team. All this are the sub-departments of SAMG in which I have to undergo intense training on the critical on-site maintenance jobs as well as the daily routine maintenance jobs going on in the company.

In this project, a resistance temperature detector rod, (RTD) rod; is used in the arrangement of the tilting pads in the bearing in low-pressure turbine. The rigid failure of RTD rod occurs due to the improper design of the rod due to which improper bending of rod occurs in the tilting pads so; sudden break down of the low-pressure turbine occurs.The pads arrangement inside the bearing is improper due to which wear and tear of the pads occur and the bearing stops working simultaneously a rigid failure in the RTD rod also occurs due to which the efficiency of the turbine is affected.So I am doing some changes in the design of the rod to increase the flexibility of rod and to remove the defects generating in the bearing pads by the rigid failure of the rod in low-pressure turbine. So; in this research, solution for fault in the rigid failure of the rod in tilting pad bearing in low-pressure turbine will be worked upon. Comparative study of turbines will be done and faults will be done.
Our project report is on hydraulic braking system used in automobile car. In it, we are using hydraulic braking system instead of the normal drum brakes used in automobile cars. We are making a change in the main part of hydraulic braking system that is the master cylinder in which we are using tandem master cylinder instead of a simple master cylinder.We are using dual tandem master cylinder by which it’s efficiency of the hydraulic braking system increases.
Casting as a manufacturing process to make complex shapes of metal materials in mass production may experience many different defects such as porosity and incomplete filling. How to improve the casting quality becomes important. Blow holes defect system design is critical to improving casting quality. In the report, one engine block is used to verify the effectiveness of the optimization method. Compared with the initial design, it is found that the optimized casting design can decrease porosity around 18% while the yield increases 16%. By the blowhole defect, molten metal did not get in a mould during the solidification of molten metal, because of required vacuum/pressure was not created in the bottom of the riser. So that metal can’t come in a mould during solidification. So the above defects are obtained by the riser. So we are doing some changes in the design of the blowholes to increase the vacuum and to remove the defects produce in sand casting by blowholes.
I was an active member of American Society Of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) as well as student section head of the ASME group of my college Marwadi Education Foundation Group of Institutions which is affiliated by Gujarat Technological University, (GTU), which include activities like managing, organising and committing the group members in organising different technical and nontechnical events organised at our college. I have volunteered national level mega events organised in our college.
I was the cultural head of my college Aarsh Mahavidyalaya - A Premium Diploma Engineering College, affiliated by Gujarat Technological University (G.T.U.), which comes under Gujarat University. and a chief member of the cultural activities organised at our college as well as a member of event organising committee where my main role was to collaborate with the other members in organising technical and nontechnical diploma level state and national level events organised at our college campus.
