Interned at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Pvt. Ltd. in the Process Equipment Division during a period of 6 months from July, 2016 to December, 2016. As a part of the internship, I studied about the design and fabrication of Heat exchangers and got a hands-on experience of the Quality audits taking place at various stages. As a trainee, I was assigned with the work of Quality Control of fabricated Heat Exchangers. As a part of this training, I completed two of the following projects, one of which has been implemented in the company and the other has been selected as a future project. • Tube Bundle Insertion System (Selected as a future project by the Design department) • Petal Dished-end fabrication system (Accepted and implemented) I received a hands-on experience of the various products and learned about their servicing protocols. A clear idea of the supply chain was established in my mind. Had an opportunity to interact with various departments for the completion of my project.

Designed and implemented a multipurpose fixture for fabrication of Petal Dished-end at Process equipment division of Godrej & Boyce mfg. pvt. Ltd. Hemispherical dished-ends of up to 60 tons can be safely mounted on the I-beam arms of the fixture and be rotated about its horizontal axis to aid the automatic Submerged arc welding process. The project reduced the overall process time by 70%.

Designed a Tube Bundle insertion system (fabrication of Heat Exchangers) for tube bundle of weight 10-15 ton by aligning the axis of the main shell and the tube bundle. This project aims at providing an efficient method of inserting the Tube Bundle inside the main shell by using multi-ton rollers. The objective of this system is to improve the overall productivity of the process by reducing the wastage of resources used to complete this process.
