I take up classs of graduate students and also practical classes. My responsibility is to take exams and check the exam papers. And also sometimes I take part in invigilation.

Received award and certificate from Chief Minister of West Bengal for excellence in Madhyamik. Participated in the Science Poster competition and awarded 3rd in University Level, in West Bengal State Student-Youth Science Fair 2014, organized by Government of West Bengal and BITM. Received certificate of merit for Maths, Biological Science and Physical Science Olympiads held at South Point High School. Awarded 1st Class in Masters Degree in Microbiology from University of Calcutta. Awarded 1st Class Honours in Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from University of Calcutta.
Cytokines and Toll- like receptors (TLR) are intercellular mediators involved in viral control and liver damage being induced by infection with hepatitis C virus (HCV). My study was to comparatively assess the serum levels of TLR 3, 7 and pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNFa and Cytokine regulators like Stat 1 in individuals infected with genotype 3 HCV in various stages of disease progression. Experiments showed that patients with relapsed infection, TLR 3 expression was only 1.5 times more elevated compared to control Patients who were HCV infected. The expression of TLR3 was found to be 7.3 times more elevated in patients who spontaneously cleared the infection as when compared to control. In interferon induced treated patients TLR7 expression levels were more pronounced than TLR3, whereas in patients who were naive to HCV treatment. Analysis of Stat 1 cytokine shows that Stat 1 mRNA levels were up-regulated in HCV chronic infected individuals.
