Speed Control of DC motor using Android Application

In this project Android application is used to control the speed of the motor remotely. In this, the speed is controlled using Pulse Width Modulation Signals which supplies voltage to the motor for a particular period of time. Pulse width modulation signals are controlled using the android application. Android mobile act as a transmitter and the Bluetooth module as receiver and fulfills the purpose of interfacing with Arduino. Each time data is sent from the smartphone , the ON cycle of PWM signal is varied and the speed of motor is controlled through the L293D driver.

Fault Analysis of Power System

The power quality is a significant aspect to be studied in a power system. Transient analysis, voltage sag, voltage swell etc are the primary causes for the degradation of power quality. Therefore, it is necessary to study the transients and its effect on power system. In this project work MATLAB Simulation is used to simulate various disturbances of power system. The disturbances studied in this project work are voltage sag, voltage swell, transient and harmonics. The models presented include distribution line fault, induction motor starting, transformer energising and Capacitor bank switching model.

Automatic Railway Gate Control using PLC

With the help of IR sensor's feedback the railway gate is controlled. When the train approaches the gate IR sensor placed there senses it and signals the gate to get closed. When the train leaves the gate the second sensor senses the train and signals the gate to open.
