Reservation should be given to women or not ?

Today women are competing with men and putting themselves in men's shoe....yet there is a voice for reservation for women, so boys and girls what is your opinion about the voice of Reservation ?

  • Reservation is necessary for poor candidate and not good family condition .It is not male,female,sc,st,obc,gen.

  • It's not needed. But it is required. Women can very well remain Standing and travel. They do not need a seat but they require a separate coach as men tend to make them uncomfortable staring, touching, or passing comments. 
    In education, they require a reservation to promote girl education. It's not really needed because their survival doesn't depend on reservations. It's required because the treatment they get needs to be changed. But the sad reality is when reservations become necessary and do not seem to stick to their main aim of being a temporary solution for an issue rather become a permanent practice of all times.

  • Hello everyone. 
    First of all one should understand growing needs of this hour.
    Its good that people all over the world are supporting women empowerment and related ideology. Working in same direction reservations are been given in education system and government jobs as well. We should encourage these efforts as well. this well brighten our counterys future for sure. The problem with us is we are focusing of wrong issue.
     Population is growing fourfold. It will be better if government in hands with we people try to increase the number of seats in colleges and opportuinities for carrer. If ample of space(opportuinity) is created in accordance with growing demand and population of our country we wont need to cut throats with each other. Its better to work with all then clashing with all.

  • The very concept of women should get 50% reservation is mathematically wrong. Women should be treated equally to men I agree, but that amounts to giving them 50% reservation is like saying that heavier objects fall faster than lighter ones. On the face of it, they appear to be right, but they are so so wrong.
    As an example consider a fair coin. The probability that we get heads in ‘n’ trails is 0.5, (or 50%). Now consider another scenario where we say that the heads have 50% reservation, in other words, out of ‘n’ trails, ‘n/2’ trails certainly have to head, now the probability of getting heads is 0.75 (or 75%) and tails is 0.25 (or 25%).
    Same thing will happen when you give 50% reservation to women. In the other 50% unreserved class, 25% goes to men and 25% goes to women(assuming the world is a fair place and because it is not, women will take at least 10% of the remaining), making women get a total of 75% and men get 25%. So technically what the feminists should be fighting for is not for 50%reservation, but something else..
    Let us see how India tried to solve the gender inequality in 2 different situations, buses and bikes.
    In buses, the government has implemented 50% seats to women. It has many advantages, but many times we see men just standing while many seats reserved for women to be empty. I agree that not as many women travel on roads as men. Many Indian women are house wife's or work from home, whereas all men are expected to work. In this situation shouldn’t the government actually see how many men vs women actually travel in buses and divide the ratio equivalently?
    The gender discrimination is a similar problem like the rich and the poor. Suppose I don’t have money, I have to work hard, get educated, and earn money without stealing from the ‘haves’. So in the same way,the right way to create gender equality is by educating women, not by forcefully stealing seats from men and gives it to women in the name of reservation. Educate women so that they take it themselves without reservations. Yes it will take a long time; I could steal and become rich in 10 minutes, or study and become in 10 years.
    Bikes, on the other hand, are mostly men driven. But when women needed bikes, they did not say that they needed 50% reservations for sales of bikes, but they invented scooty. Scooty is a brilliant invention, which causes a lot of convenience to women, but at the same time does not cause any inconvenience to males. I think these are the kinds of solutions women need to embrace to develop and bring joy to this world.

    Women Empowerment through Majority election 

    Because once women begin to enter political circles, things take the turn for the positive really quickly. Case in point, this article on Quartz that talks about how Female Politicians are better for the Indian economy because they are less likely to be criminals or corrupt. And I feel parties, like the All India Mahila Empowerment Party, are playing a pivotal role in investing in the common women of India. Simply by providing them resources and a party banner to contest elections and empower more women to do more great things.
    The women of India are incredible, they just need to be equipped with the right political tools to carve their own destinies and futures.
