  Hlookup mean horizontal lookup. It mean that if u have data in horizontal form then u use hlookup. D6 mean D is showing column number and 6 mean row number.

  Every formula in excel start with = sign then formula name e.g. =HLOOKUP(Look up Value, Range(Table), Index no., True/false).
  (D6, D7) means formula will take value of D6 and D7
