multiplye by 'a' in both side
a^2= ab
subtract b^2 in both side
a^2 - b^2 = ab - b^2
(a-b)(a+b) = b(a-b)
a+b = b
b+b = b ( from : a =b )

There is a beautiful example on this regards. Consider two wheels of radius 3 and 5 units. Now we make a mark on each wheel to start the experiment.
If two wheels are being rolled on the ground, first will run for 3 units and the second will run for 5 units.
