How do you weigh pros and cons before making a decision?

Describe a time when you had to solve a problem, but didn’t have all necessary information about it in hand. What did you do?

i always see what couldbe the maximum impact if done a particular way.if the impact is worse, i think of how cn that be dealt with.
every situation will have pros, but one must look on the cons more and see if any such situation would occur, how would you handle it. this decision could come by past expirience, observation skills and sometimes huge risks are also involved.
