A youth has a chance to showcase the talent by participating in respective talent’s discussion forums. Forum participation has direct impact on yRank increase. More you participate, more increment in the yRank!! Let’s see how. :)

Every talent community has a unique discussion forum to interact on relevant topics or questions. Read About Discussion Forums here.

First, let us see how to check your reputation points for a talent. In the talent profile section of your public profile, you’ll see all your talents – the ones you have listed during registration and the ones you would’ve taken yTests for later on. Again remember that these talents for the core basis for your profiling and matching criteria with job opportunities.

In each talent, you’ll see a part called Reputation, along with your yRank (amongst X youth), your yScore, Vouch and Recommendation. Here we'll concentrate on Reputation, as marked in following image:

If you have participated in that talent forum earlier, you would have earned some points, which will be shown. When you hover the mouse or cursor over the Reputation, you’ll see an explanation on Reputation, with two links.

One link takes you to the respective talent forum, where you can participate in the discussions and earn points.

The other link ‘Reputation Board’ takes you to the actual leader board of reputation points of that talent, e.g. English Language Reputation Board

The reputation board for a talent can also be reached directly from any discussion forum, as explained in article for Forums, by clicking on Reputation Board link on right side of the page.

What is Reputation Board?
This is a ranked list of youth who have earned most Reputation Points for English Language talent. An individual builds his/her reputation by helping the talent community by sharing his expert and relevant answers to the questions/posts on the forum.

We believe the person who shares the knowledge, helps others to learn and participate in building the community is valuable and hence they deserve to be popularized. The individual will have a better yRank for getting better opportunities.

As seen in the reputation board image above, the youth are listed in decreasing order of the points earned. The youth with highest points has a score of 100 percentile and the relative scores of others are calculated thereon. This percentile score forms one of the important criteria of the increment of yRank, apart from other factors.

How Reputation Board works?
Click on ‘How it works’ tab on top. The transparent system helps you to know where you stand community, interact with others, learn and find relevant opportunities.

Different actions while answering earns different points:

Different actions while posting a Question earns different points:

Ask a question or contribute an answer on own post	1
If the question you asked is viewed more than 50 times, i.e. – If the question is decently popular.	5
If the question you asked is viewed more than 100 times, i.e. – You asked a very good question!!	10

If you are a moderator, then editing or deleting a post shall earn you 1 point.

Encashing Reputation Points for talent
Clicking on ‘Recommended Offers’ tab will open all the offers against which you can redeem / encash your reputation points. When you click on a particular offer, the details of the offer will come up. On encashing, the reputation points will be deducted from your total points. A star will be given to your profile for any encashment.

These offers will be given by various companies depending on the talents and their interests, e.g. Currently, Youth4work is offering a certificate to all those who earn 1500 reputation points in a talent, to recognize the talent.
